Ready, Set, YU! is a program that supports newly admitted high-school students and their successful transition into the post-secondary study. Students are provided with strategic and direct support/services including orientation, peer to peer mentoring, dedicated faculty-based advising, and referrals to campus resources (i.e., learning skill services, writing department, etc.) to prepare them for success.
These customized supports enhance student success, retention, and eventual graduation by connecting students to York’s extensive outreach initiatives, services, and resources. Ready, Set, YU! is committed to reducing academic barriers to accessing postsecondary study and increasing the retention and graduation rates of students at risk. Think of Ready, Set, YU! as your personal coach for your university experience.
